Provider Referrals to The Face Myologist

A simple way for professionals to connect patients with personalized support for breathing, oral function, tongue posture, and related functional concerns.

Collaborative Care Starts Here

The Face Myologist welcomes referrals from dental, medical, airway, sleep, speech, and allied health professionals when a patient may benefit from further evaluation of oral function, breathing patterns, tongue posture, swallowing, or related functional concerns. Rachel values collaborative care and clear communication with referring professionals when appropriate and permitted by the patient.

When a Referral May Be Helpful

Patients experiencing these concerns may benefit from further functional evaluation. A referral may be appropriate when one or more of the following are present:

  • Habitual mouth breathing
  • Difficulty maintaining nasal breathing
  • Low or dysfunctional tongue posture
  • Tongue thrust
  • Atypical swallowing patterns
  • Oral muscle dysfunction
  • Snoring or sleep-related breathing concerns
  • Jaw or facial muscle tension
  • Tongue-tie-related functional concerns
  • Pre- and post-tongue-tie support
  • Persistent oral habits
