About The Face Myologist
Dedicated to helping women better understand the connection between breathing, sleep, oral function, and how they feel every day.
I'm a Registered Dental Hygienist and Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist based in Pompano Beach, Florida. My work grew from seeing that oral health does not exist in isolation — how a person breathes, rests their tongue, swallows, sleeps, and uses the muscles of the face and mouth can influence function in ways that are easy to overlook when symptoms are considered separately.
I combine my dental hygiene background with advanced education in orofacial myofunctional therapy to help patients better understand these patterns and build more functional habits. My approach looks at how breathing, oral function, tongue posture, and sleep-related patterns may interact — and how those connections may contribute to the way a person feels day to day.
Based in South Florida, The Face Myologist offers primarily virtual care so support can fit more easily into real life. I believe patients deserve to understand what may be happening in their body, not simply be handed exercises and sent on their way.
If you're tired of managing symptoms without understanding why they keep showing up, I'd love to help you explore the bigger picture.
How Rachel Works
Persistent symptoms rarely tell the whole story. Rachel's approach looks at patterns, function, and how different systems may be interacting rather than focusing on one complaint in isolation.
Evaluate breathing patterns and habits that may influence oral function, sleep quality, and daily comfort.
Look at tongue posture, swallowing patterns, facial muscle function, and other oral habits.
Explore how breathing and oral function may relate to poor-quality sleep, waking unrefreshed, snoring, or ongoing exhaustion.
Create an individualized plan based on each patient's symptoms, functional patterns, goals, and needs.
From Rachel
Rachel wrote this guide for the women she kept meeting who were doing “everything right” and still waking up exhausted. It’s the same pattern-first approach she uses with patients, in a workbook you can use at home.
If you are tired of managing symptoms without understanding what may be contributing to them, start with a conversation about your breathing, sleep, oral function, and goals.
